Adventures of a Dwarf Priest

Questing Engine

by on Mar.11, 2007, under Questing

Inian didn’t get his computer squared away until late tonight. So we didn’t get much questing in. I did some fishing and exploring earlier in the day amongst other non WoW things :)

We were happily running along doing a quest looking for air elementals in this field when we ran across this guy wanting us to save the Netherdrakes. This was the quest I had heard about and we dove right into it. After placing our first meat and watching one of the drakes fly down and eat it then thank you and fly away it really makes you wonder at Blizzards questing engine. I have seen them do some very amazing scripted events with it and they don’t just reserve the complex stuff for high end dungeons. Even the most mundane quest can have the highest in complexity it needs. The only time I’ve ever run into it breaking too is the one quest we keep trying to do in the bonewastes. We are bound and determined to finish it!
