…Getting from there to hear…Happy Patch Day everyone! I logged into the server after patching with great surprise, no UI errors! Later in the evening though I did discover bulkmail had some issues probably because the mail infrastructure was changed.One of the first things I noticed when I got on which I thought was funny but I suppose most people wouldn’t is I still had the OLD Fearward on. You’ll notice in this screenshot I have over 7 minutes left. I guess since its functionality didn’t change just the cooldown and duration.The next amusing thing I noticed no one seemed to get when I’d say it is I had 666 spell damage from my healing gear. I’d tell people and they’d go “ya I know I have XXX spell damage!”. Then I’d be like no your missing the point I have 666 spell damage from my healing gear! hehe Oh well maybe I’m the only one that finds getting an evil amount of spell damage from healing gear is funny.The very next thing I tried was grabbing one of those new Instance dailies. They are very creative and for heroic it was Heroic Ramparts and for regular it was Shattered halls. I managed to get a Heroic Ramparts but Shattered Halls I never got to.Our Ramparts run was … Interesting to say the least. Lets just say we died a lot and leave it at that. We swapped out a DPS 3 separate times, and the tank once. The second tank, a Pally tank which joined us after the first boss was very good and we did much better with him. His fire resistance aura really came in handy for the last boss which is what the quest wanted you to kill. We had kind of a rough time on the second boss, we wiped quite a few times till we figured out a strategy of dealing with the curse and adds that worked. The best part about sticking with it is he dropped a nether and I won it! 1 down 1 to go! We one shot the last boss though which was great! No nether from him but that did make 3 Heroic badges, + the 2 from the quest, + the 5 I’ve managed to collect. That gives me 10 and the ability to get another nether!Of course you know what that means! I had all the mats for my Boots of the Long Road! In fact weirdly enough Blizzard dropped the Void Crystal requirements in 2.3 so I got to keep my two crystals After I made them I quickly ran to the bank and put Boar’s Speed on them. Definitely worthy boots of Boar’s Speed.All in all it was a pretty successful patch day for me. Got my new spell Chastise, got my Nethers, made my Boots. All is well and right in the world!
