Video Card Update

After much pain and suffering on the phone with Apple. They finally discovered that the manufacture of the card which is responsible for the warranty is none other than Apple!
The apologized for the run around and said they will be sending me a replacement card right away. They were not sure why they didn’t know the card would be supported by Apple but said they would try and make sure others knew this. I find it pretty crazy that this was not known to any of them.
He talked specifically about the box, originally he mentioned it and I told him it was just a plain gray box that said Apple on it. He “discovered” this is an Apple OEM product which is why it was covered. Now apparently it is being covered by my Apple Care warranty, not by the card itself. I received an email from MacMall following their instructions asking who supplied the warranty and they said it had a 90 day warranty from Apple. Which is pretty weak since every other Nvidia card has a 1 year warranty. Thank god I’m still covered under Apple Care.
At least my much faster, cooler, more quiet video card replacement is on the way!
