Adventures of a Dwarf Priest

I got on today and did my usual round of dailies.  Picked up my usual 10+ super mana/health pots as I was running around from boxes   Inian joined me online slightly later than usual.  I remembered the PvP daily was AV, and there is always a good chance we’d win that one so we queued up for that.  We were using Stinkyqueue so we could go in together, it works good for the most part.  We completed the daily and was doing some checking on stuff when just before he leaves, Inian does it.  He finally leaves his guild!

I had been harassing him during AV that he should join my guild but he thinks he is a guild curse because they fall apart when he joins.  But his current guild stayed together he just didn’t have much to actually do with them   I said something like I’m an officer there is nothing to worry about the guild isn’t going anywhere hehe  So anyway I invited him and he quickly ran away before anyone could say anything about it hehe  We actually have very few active mages so it is a good thing.  Thailos the guild leader knows Inian from all the times i’ve brought him along on stuff and knows he is a good player so I know thats good.

So ya, Welcome to Casuals Inian!

I started off by pursuing some more honor for now my S1 gloves during baby naps.  I’ve got 305 resilience now and am totally loving it. Now Blizzard just needs to make it easier for me to carry all this gear around with me like I do

Got on later by and Inian was trying a Kara PUG.  This was a TRUE Kara PUG as it wasn’t run by a major guild, nor did it have any major guilds involved it let alone well geared people   We didn’t do quite as bad as I expected though.  It was slow, very slow but I was getting rep anyways   We managed to kill 2 bosses, however Moroes was quite an issue for everyone.  When we got to the Maiden lady it was too much for our tank.  No mater how full the tank was when we got repentance, even if I had renew on him and POM bouncing around he was not alive long enough for even a flash heal when we got out of it.  He just wasn’t geared quite well enough.  Then the offtank which was even worse was toasted quickly enough not that he even had agro right off the bat anyways.

Was an interesting experience.  It is obvious that Kara is easy enough to be PUG’d but if you are not geared well enough then it doesn’t matter.  The paladin and group leader eyeluvu (yes that was his name) was a member of the Knights of Nee you know that guild that exists on every server I had around 800 or so more healing than him but he stayed just ahead of me on effective heal meters.  Just goes to show you Pallies are OP!    Of course I’m not speced to heal and could out damage him 100 times over even in my healing gear lol.

I was doing some AV runs, to finish up getting the honor for my S1 Legs and I managed to see something I have never seen on the live server!  Yes it was a lightwell!  Even more amazing, I USED IT!    Yes it was a productive night in AV, and I did manage to get enough honor to pickup my S1 pants yay!

Decided to try and grind out some more painful WSG tokens.  Man I’m looking forward to the WSG changes in 2.4.  It just so happens it was the daily today and I assume this would mean people would actually try to win.  Sadly that was not the case.

I was quite surprised on my 3rd game we got a good set of classes and a few people who knew what they were doing!  We managed to actually win!  We would have won faster is not for some bad luck and some stupidity.  But hey that makes me only 3 WSG marks shy of my pants now. I’m about 7k honor shy but thats the easy part!

After that I decided to do my cooking daily real fast and managed to run into two birds almost as soon as I turned the corner.  In which caused me to fall down on a stupid warp chaser.  So between the Warpchaser, and the 2 Kalari stunning me and crap I had to use everything at my disposal to win. Thank goodness one of them had my wing other wise I’d have been pretty pissed.

The server had a queue today, and was majorly lagged.  I had 50 pieces of mail in my box from all those silly elders.  They ended up sending me 21 lucky rockets and 29 elder moonstones.  Gota love the moonstones!  I need to convince the guild into doing omen now!

Inian and I did our remaining arena matches to get credit for only the second time ever!  I was a little annoyed.  We fought some people that were on par with us then suddenly we meet up with a Disc Priest and a Hunter from our own server, and side no less that completely own us.  Inian looks them up and finds out they create new teams all the time apparently and the Priest had 482 resilience and the hunter had 366.  They  are both in ROV.  I have no idea how we got matched with them except I guess by creating a brand new teams it lets them do that.  Hardly a fair fight.  Inian barely has any resilience and I only have 275.  If you ask me this is cheating but whatever I guess.  We’ve also had the really badly rated team with the probably hired 400+ resilience teamate that was just the right class combination to be ridiculous.

It was actually pretty odd we were getting queued for  like 20-30 seconds max, maybe there was just no one else to play.

After badly loosing 2 ABs and I said screw the daily and went and qued for AV.  The first one I won really fast.  The second one I lost really fast (but almost won).  The third one I got thrown into an in progress “turtle”.  I found that I had a ball with this one.  Apparently the inital rush failed so we took them down using the reinforcement method.  This is totally fun for some reason though it is certainly longer and less honor rewarding I suppose.  I had 2 such wins via reinforcements.  I got way more honor than I did yesterday too!

I think they need to change the other BGs so the honor competes better.  I mean you can spend an hour or even more in a WSG and come out with like 80 honor, wahoo!  AB, EOTS are both the same way too.  I don’t think removal of the diminishing returns on kills is going to make any difference on that either.

Today was PvP day, just messed around doing that than anything else.  At this point it is probably the most interesting thing I can do till 2.4.  Though I do still need to finish my Honor Hold faction

I was trying to do the AB daily, though never succeeded.  I was buffing everyone in the groups but I noticed something weird.  Look at my target very closely.  The hunter has both Prayer of Spirit, and my single target spirit.  I asked Inian if he saw that too and he did.  I didn’t ask the hunter if he was getting the effect of both but I wonder if there is some new bug with it.  Perhaps Improved Spirit and Regular Spirit are stacking?

Inian and I mixed some Arena in the mix too.  We still haven’t done much with it and I’d like to do it a little more regularly to maybe get some of those “welfare” epics everyone complains about   I was eyeing that wand they have actually.  We had some hard game early on, one some in the middle then lost some more.  I think its practice partially.  There will be some team combos we will probably always have a hard time beating.

We attempted some WSG games too because we both want the S1 pants which horribly need 30 WSG tokens.  I had some already and am up to 19 now.  We had one loss and one win.  The win was funny because the first 2 caps the horde had 2 people to our 8!

I stopped in assuming I’d probably do some PvP after at least my cooking daily when Darwin sends me a tell wanting me to replace him in Kara.  I think sure why not I can use badges.  They were on Prince and were going to do Netherspite after.

Well we wiped the first time I got there but got him on the second try.  We were doing some different positioning than previous battles. Thailos had me healing and DPSing so I tossed up a Blinding Light flask for fun   In my healing gear buffed I had 833 holy damage and 1933 healing!  Anyways after we defeated him everyone had to go so we didn’t do Netherspite.  Prince did drop Thya’s bow she has been waiting to drop for many moons, so grats Thya!  I would love the healing mace, or the damage dagger, or the crit neck he drops   Well those and the T4 helm looks pretty nice

As I was flying out to do my cooking daily I happened to notice in my PvP gear me and my mount match each other quite well   After the cooking daily I tried to do that PvP daily.  However the server was lagged to hell and the AB was quite painful.  In the end we lost too but it was a fairly good fight if not for the lag.  I gave up though, I’ll try some more pvp later in the week I guess

I got on and did my usual dailies and Inian had mentioned the PvP one was AV so I thought I’d give it a run.  We did it and won pretty quick.  Then Inian and I decided since it was late we could do an AB or two since its AB weekend.  The honor still doesn’t work out as good as an AV though most of the time but AB is so much more fun.

The first one we lost but not through a lack of fighting by us.  We held LM strong and it was great.  We had so many close calls but held on and I ended up being the top healer because of it   Of course the rest of the team was failing miserably.   So we got very little honor out of the whole match but had fun, and thats what counts in a game right?

The second game we played neither of us made any top score boards but we did our job.  Initially defending LM until like 10 horde came and mowed us down we moved to defending BS.  We held fast to keep that while everyone else hit stuff and we actually won.  I was the BG leader and gave my pearls of wisdom and positive encouragement!   Here is Inian and I just seconds before we won!

I went and looked at the gear afterwards and think I’m going to save for the leggings next.  It is the greatest gain of Stamina and Resilience for the honor.  Of course that means I need 15 more WSG tokens, hopefully that won’t be TOO painful   They might even push me to 10k health self buffed! After that then I’ll go for my gloves so I can get my AMAZING 1 extra second on my fear   The pants will push me over 300 resilience too.

I was eyeing the +15 resilience chest enchant that was up in the AH.  There were two but both wanted 800G for it    I just couldn’t bring myself to spending that much.   It is a stupid world drop so buying it is probably the only way I’ll see it.

I started off on Deathwing today and managed to farm enough Silk finally to make my Primal Mooncloth Bag.

That gives me a few new spots in the bank now!   I managed to clear some room as well by taking one of my alts I never play and making him my potion storage.  I get sooooo many potions now thanks to Treasure Detection that my bank was just full of Health and Mana pots.  Inian hasn’t had to make me any ever since they made the boxes have something useful in them.

I looked around for Heroic or Regular Shattered Halls a little later when Inian got on but there was none.  So I decided to go to Akama.

I got on Mooku and ran over and did the first of the Skyguard quests that I had not done yet.  After all I had a silly quest item in my inventory taking up the very little space Mooku has.  Inian eventually joined me on Mooshu and we stirred up quite a bit of trouble in Skettis. A silly hunter killed Mooshu after he had been weakened by several monstrous Kalari and was waiting for him to spawn. So I snuck over there and Mooshu lured him out and we killed the hunter.  For good measure we killed him about another 4 or 5 times lol

Then I preceded to start trouble with all the other alliance in the area it was fun of course   I eventually just decided to finish my quests and we went to see what the instance dailies were.  With luck it happened to be SV, which happens to be the only faction I care about on this character

With that I was the tank, sandwiched between 2 enhancement shamans with some mage CC/DPS and a Holy Paladin healing.  Now I am a little rusty and probably need some practice tanking.  I didn’t do half bad, but the other shaman, not Mooshu was really good at stealing agro from me, he was quite a bit of DPS.  I’m still not very well geared either, on top of needing more tanking practice.  Mooshu and I have done like no instancing, or any of the high level quests so our gear is actually pretty noobish.  We only wiped once though on the first boss because the paladin died in the rain storm

It was pretty fun and I got a useful helmet from the quest lady outside the instance and I’m 50% to revered with the Cenarions.  No other good drops in there though for me.
