Adventures of a Dwarf Priest

So I finally got exalted with Tol Barad yesterday.  That makes my 42nd exalted faction!  I’m still a bit away from the mounts, i’ve got like 95 badges now.  The two mounts need tons! (like 200 each) Then there is an interesting Mace upgrade, and trinket I’d like from there too.  I already got the purchasable pet, however I’m still murdering foxes for the random drop one   It’s kind of sad I have tons more things I want from Tol Barad than I do from Justice Points.  I wish I could trade them   Oh well eventually some valor stuff will be pushed down to us lowly casuals

I’ve still not been able to participate in a Tol Barad victory.  Every time I’m on and it is in conflict the alliance is either defending and gets owned, or we are attacking and suck   I have had some fun PvPing as shadow there though.

I haven’t been posting much, but I have been playing here and there.  I went and got a new job so that has added yet another new change, and a slight change to my schedule.  I’ve also continued to have my extra house duties while the wife is still disabled from the baby.  I can definitely tell this expansion is going to be another one where I’m not raiding.  I didn’t raid in BC either because of  my son being born

I’ve slipped in some Cosain play especially after a long day some times just being the shit out of stuff with a big axe is very satisfying   Due to my lack of playtime though he has been a little shelved.  I do find him really fun and look forward to getting him higher level though!

I’ve also been playing occasionally with Seun my Dwarf Mage who is almost 84 now.  Slowly but surely getting his inscription maxed out.  I get him out a lot to farm life for cloth.  Inien has been using all his trying to get his vial of sands   It’s not too hard and I really enjoy Arcane DPS.  Again pelting people with arcane missiles is more satisfying than the slow purple death Shadow delivers.

I’ve made some good advances on my Cataclysm reps on Laneer.  I’ve got 41 now, and have some old reps I’d really like to finish especially the goblin ones.  I’ve also got some great pets recently, my collection continues to grow!  I’m finally starting to squeeze Heroics in here and there with Inien.  They are definitely a challenge sometimes.  Especially with some of the random people we end up with   I’ll try to squeeze out some more posts later!

I have managed to put in some fun time today between chores.  I managed to do some new dailies and some old ones.  Tol’Brad is very neat   I managed to go pick up a few pets and do a little farming for grubby

Did my regular instance run with Inien even.  Of course yet again no cloth ever drops for me.  I wasn’t have too much mana issues anymore and was surviving rapid pull so I thought maybe I could do a heroic.  Inien thought we could give it a shot so off we went!

We ended up in heroic ShadowFang!  Now this run wasn’t completely smooth, it was painful, but I came out of it with new shoulders, and new boots!  I am now more confident I can do heroics so I will try more often now   I also got enough JP to get a new belt, once of my greens that needed replacing   Now I just need to replace my wrists and I won’t have any green anymore.

Despite some of the pain I had a good time tonight.  I know I will pay for this in the morning though

I’ve had the flu for the past few days and pretty much slept the whole time.  As a result I really didn’t feel like sleeping anymore and ended up at 3am this morning.  So I got to enjoy some early morning dungeon sessions!  I had a really good time actually.  Every once in a while I get reminded how fun it is to play WoW when I’m not exhausted

I got a lot of my dailies done this morning already too.  I haven’t had a chance to do the dailies, well daily so I haven’t got sick of any of them yet.  I’ve still got a lot of factions to work on and a questing still in Uldum!

I have been very busy but have managed to squeeze in a little WoW each night I just haven’t had the time to post   Since I’ve been working from home each morning before I take my son to work I’ve also taken the time to take advantage of some rolling restarts.  This has allowed me to finally get my arcane pet!

I’ve been mostly just leveling Laneer and really enjoying the experience.  The bug finally got me and I haven’t been playing my warrior for a little while.  I haven’t got to do many instances, just two of the new ones so far.

I’ve done a little questing in almost all the zones now.  I of course will be completing all the quests in each zone by the time I’m done.  I will be 85 long before then however.  I am definitely in need to put together some gear for heroics because I don’t even qualify for some of the regular zones at the moment. I need to let go of some of my old gear and I haven’t been able to do that yet

I’ve managed to work a little on professions and get some good archeology done.  I really like that new secondary skill.  I’m also learning how to use my new WoW Cataclysm gaming mouse from Steelseries I got for Christmas.  I’ve been using the same mouse for 7 years so it is hard to switch   I also need to put some time in on my UI.

I haven’t had a lot of time to play lately.  I’ve been running around like a chicken with its head cut off mostly!  But when I have I’ve mostly been playing my Warrior Cosain.  I have played Laneer for a bit of questing in Hyjal, I’m almost 81 but haven’t been in a huge rush to get 85 like some people are.  I had my first tanking experience this weekend when I did Ragefire Chasm.   I also managed to do Wailing Caverns as well.  I kept leveling so fast that I wanted to do them before I couldn’t use the dungeon finder anymore to get in them.

I also managed a deadmines over the weekend as well.  All these dungeons were done at the expense of sleep of course   DM was quite a bit different and the only annoying thing was people kept wanting to rush through it so I didn’t get to enjoy it that much.  I’ve managed to tank 3 dungeons now and I have a new found respect for tanks   I didn’t have too much trouble holding on to things because I was on average of 3 levels higher than the rest of my group each time.  The hardest part was everyone kept pulling before I did, and they wouldn’t give me any time to try and get a hold of the mobs.

I managed to keep everyone a live all times except when someone pulled a room in DM I couldn’t get all the mobs on me because there were too many casters and we lost 2 people, but still won the day.  I’m getting used to the Warrior still, tanking especially and all the buttons you have to push   The class is very interesting to play, but now I have so many things to push I think I need to see if I can make use of Clique or not with melee   I’m also quite fond of being up in the mobs face as everything else I’ve ever played is always range

I managed to complete all the quests in Loch Modan now and will be moving onto wetlands even though I’m probably a little high for most of it now.  Mainly it changed a lot when cataclysm so I want to see what is up with it .  From running around with it on Laneer it looked really neat so I gota get in there and do some questing   I just got 25 and access to some glyphs so I’m going to have to make some up for Cosain.

Jumped on after a very long day today and did a round checking my 3 characters.  Been trying to AH Glyphs on Seun to get enough gold to buy epic flight   Laneer I’ve been trying to get the Arcane Elemental pet in Dalaran so I keep running around looking for books.  I’m getting close on that one!

I got on Cosain after that and finished some quests I had in Loch Modan that were about to go grey.  I did some mining and some more jewel crafting.  I wanted to get some more recopies so I headed over to Stormwind.  I was laughing looking at the portal from the train it seems like they forgot to change something.  From inside the tram on the SW side looking out is the old view of SW.  Once you go through the portal you actually go up a hill.  I wonder if they will ever fix that

Eventually I had to go to bed so I can do it all over again!

So after a very very long day I got on to see about doing maybe a bit of 80+ questing on Laneer.  I decided out of the two places to start I’d go with Mount Hyjal.  That zone had been staring at me unfinished for 6 years and it was about time I visit   So I followed all the lead in quests, it sure is a pretty area and the Cataclysm fire is very pretty    You of course meet an old friend starting off and learn about how the world tree is in danger.

I quested for about 40 minutes before I completely ran out of steam.  It had been a very long day of running around and I was done!  I did enjoy the little questing I did get to do and the new areas are very pretty.  I hope to have more energy tomorrow but it is highly unlikely

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it her yet but my we are expecting again   So in just 8 months I’ll be a dad again!  Of course my wife is very sick again which means a lot of doctors and doing all the household chores and taking care of my son so not much time or energy for anything else.  However I’m doing my best to work it in!  After all WoW is one of my best stress relievers (right after sex of course )  Hopefully has the pregnancy levels out it won’t be so hectic around here!

Well big day today, got the expansion installed and found some time to login but not do much.  I did of course buy my old world flying which is completely awesome!

Did a few bread crumb quests but haven’t decided where to start leveling Laneer yet.  I mainly went around and played with archaeology.  It is kind of fun and interesting thing to do and us Dwarves, well it is the thing TO do! So I worked on a few things there but unfortunately it is already past my bed time so off I go!

I spent some time questing for the new pets.  It seems all of them required a rather significant questing investment   I spent some time trying to thwart the attack redridge to get to the new fire fly.  Lots of the new pretty lava

Then I took a boat ride over to do the quests up in Darkshore for the new tree pet.  You practically need to do all the quests there so I just did all of them, what the hey I need Worgen rep anyways   The quests were all very interesting, a few reworked, mostly new I think only one was the same.  I was very impressed by the visuals.  I also kinda liked riding the boats again   Yes the portals were nice and speedy but some of the character of the game was lost on all the portaling

I especially liked this quest.  Recognizing they sent you out to this ship to salvage filled with Murlocs that aggroed all over the place and almost certainly killed you at proper level.  They made a new version of it where you use a little robot, go out there aggro a bunch of the Murlocs and blow them up.  Finally getting revenge for the frustration

Finally I got to the Plants vs Zombies mini game over by southshore.  This is for the happy little sunflower pet.  I haven’t been able to get it yet though.  One of the quests bugs out for me every time I defeat the second wave it doesn’t acknowledge it and nothing happens.

Later in the evening before I passed out I eventually did a little group work with Seun.  It is fun being a Dwarf Mage
